Beach Squad Volunteer Opportunities

If you're passionate about preserving our beautiful Daytona Beach, making a positive impact, and meeting positive and like-minded inviduals, you're in the right place.

BEACH SQUAD OFFERS 2 TYPES OF VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
A) BEACH CLEANER
B) CLEANER LEADER
A) BEACH CLEANER:
Beach Cleaners use buckets and trash pickers to pick up trash off the beach.
- Anyone of any age can help -
Description:
- Show up anytime from 8:30am-11:00am and help pick up trash from the beach.
- Beach Squad provides you with buckets and pickers to use while you clean.
- Beach Cleaners can help pick up trash for 15 minutes... or 2 hours - it's up to you!
Please bring drinking water and your favorite sun protection
b) CLEANER leader
Cleaner Leaders relax at the Cleanup Tent and help Beach Cleaner volunteers sign up, and distribute buckets and pickers.
Description:
- Show up at 8:00am and setup the Beach Cleanup Station
- Relax at the table, greet volunteers, and help them signup/check-in - ensure they receive the correct buckets and pickers
- Rinse used buckets and help takedown the Cleanup Table
Leaders require more responsibility and commitment... and are rewarded with FREE Beach Squad gear, refreshments and more!
Scholarship & Community Service Opportunities
Students have an excellent opportunity to earn volunteer hours for community service requirements, and scholarship opportunities such as; the Bright Futures scholarship offered in Florida.
Students can earn volunteer hours while gaining leadership and public speaking skills, and sharing their environmental knowledge with visitors and the community.
