Ways to Volunteer
Weekly Sunday Volunteers
Our Sunday beach cleanups are open to individuals, families, and small groups of 4 or fewer.
Volunteers help pick up trash off our beach and can participate for as little or as long as they’d like within the cleanup window.
Sundays: 8:30am - 10:45am

What You’ll Do:
• Check in at the cleanup station
• Receive cleanup supplies
• Pick up trash along the beach
• Return equipment for trash weighing
Beach Squad Cleanup Leaders
Cleanup Leaders are trusted volunteers who help run our weekly Sunday beach cleanups. This role is ideal for students and community members looking for extended volunteer hours, leadership experience, and responsibility.
Cleanup Leaders are selected through an interview process and commit to helping throughout the cleanup season.
Leadership Responsibilities Include:
• Assisting with setup and breakdown of the cleanup station
• Helping volunteers check in and receive equipment
• Weighing trash collected and recording totals
• Supporting volunteers and leading by example

Earn Verified Volunteer Hours
Beach Squad cleanups qualify as community service activities for many schools, organizations, and programs.

actively participate during cleanup events.
Information For Students And Parents
Beach Squad welcomes student volunteers of all ages.
Our cleanups provide a safe, organized environment with staff supervision and clear procedures.
Important Notes:
• Volunteers under 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian
• The registering adult assumes responsibility and liability
• Cleanup Leaders must be 18+ (or approved on a case-by-case basis)
Schools and student organizations are encouraged to contact us for group opportunities or questions about volunteer documentation.

Volunteer Expectations:
• Be respectful of others and the environment
• Follow cleanup guidelines and safety instructions
• Return all cleanup equipment by the designated time
• Bring positive energy and a willingness to help
No experience is required - just a good attitude!
Many of our Cleanup Leaders and returning volunteers started by attending a single Sunday cleanup.
By showing up, helping out, and leading by example, volunteers become part of a community that values responsibility, kindness, and action.
